Timirdara or Temurdara is turquise bright blue lake, located in the Hissar mountain range. iTimurdara is small lake on altitude 1980m, its the result of glacie of mountains the melt when weather getting warm is early spring. Timurdara lake has no fish, as its glacier water but anyway fish can't survive in the lake. Surrounding of Timurdara is wooden slope, on the upper edge of lake is covererd with coarse of granite sand and when you look from far away it looks like a beach shore. How to get there? In Dushanbe There is three type of vehicle goes there, Bus ( for that you shoud go to different staion ( Asia Express terminal, buy ticket inside and wait when its get full booked), 2nd option is get to Zarnisor car station where many private taxi drivers get passangers to Shhrinav or Tursunzoda city, they charge 10 somoni 15 somoni and last option is min bus ( Marshrutka) #270, they charge 5 somoni. After getting to Shahrinave get to Kratog car park where locals txi driver get you to to the Hakimi car park, because local taxi driver won't drive you to upper part of Karatoq due to bad road, so you will pay 5 somoni for the Karatoq taxi driver, plus you should negociate with local car (normally they have old Soviet car, sturdy ) to get you to starting poin of trekkinng, price is 200 to 250 somoni. Please bear in mind you pay 200/250 for this 18km bad road, if you have enough time you can cover it in 2 hours. Important notes: Before where you crossed the bridge at the beggining of trekking there were check point and copy of passport was main requirement but since 2020 its not neccessary. The trail is around km, including one ascent section with 12 degree steep. Maximum hiking net is 3 hours. Distance from Shahrinav is 38km, from Dushanbe 90km. Option to extand your trekking: There possiblities From Timurdara lake further north east to Koshak mountain ranges further up to Payron lake and from there through Mura pass 3790m, down to Saratog village, ( Ayni distrct), 6km down Iskandarkul lake.
